Cake Donuts with a Strawberry Glaze
Cake donuts with a sweet strawberry glaze and rainbow sprinkles.
Ingredients
Donuts
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 2 Eggs (1 whole egg and 1 egg yolk)
- 3 Tbsp Melted Unsalted Butter
- 1 Cup All-Purpose Flour
- 1/3 Cup Sugar
- 1 tsp Baking Powder
- 1/4 tsp Kosher Salt
- 1/2 Cup Whole Milk
Strawberry Glaze
- 1 Cup Powder Sugar
- 3 Strawberries or 3 Tablespoons of Strawberry Jam
- 1-2 tsp Milk
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1 tsp water
Instructions
- Pre-Heat oven to 350 degrees
Donuts
- Combined your wet ingredients in one bowl and your dry ingredients in another. Slowly add your dry ingredients to your wet ingredients.
- Add dough to a pastry bag or zip lock bag and pipe into your donut molds. Molds can be found here https://amzn.to/3lQuuIE. Place the filled donut molds onto a baking sheet. Lightly tap the pan onto the counter to release any air bubbles.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes.
Strawberry Glaze
- Add strawberries (stems removed) to a blender with 1 tsp water. Blend until smooth. To a bowl combined confectioners' sugar, strawberries, and vanilla extract. If the mixture is to thick add 1 tsp of milk to thin add 1 tablespoon of confectioners' sugar.
- Once the donuts come out of the oven, let them rest for 10 minutes before removing from the molds.
- Dip donuts into the strawberry glaze then dip them into your rainbow sprinkles.
