The dish begins with layering sliced onions, Dr. Pepper, Liquid Smoke, and garlic cloves in a crockpot, followed by placing pork ribs on top and brushing them with honey. A blend of seasonings including brown sugar, onion powder, paprika, and others is sprinkled over the ribs before cooking on low for 6-8 hours. The pork is ready when it easily shreds with two forks. Ingredients

  • 2 Onions sliced
  • 12 oz Dr. Pepper
  • 2 Tbsp Liquid Smoke
  • 3-4 Garlic Cloves chopped
  • 4 lbs Pork Country Boneless Ribs
  • 2 Tbsp Honey
  • Seasoning:
  • ¼ Cup Brown Sugar
  • 2 tsp Onion Powder
  • 2 tsp Smoked Paprika
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper
  • ½ tsp Cayenne
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • ½ tsp Cumin
  • Topping:
  • Hamburger Buns
  • Sliced Onions
  • BBQ Sauce

Instructions

  • In your crockpot, layer the sliced onions at the bottom. Pour in the Dr. Pepper, followed by the Liquid Smoke and chopped garlic cloves. Place the pork ribs on top and brush them with honey. Mix the seasoning ingredients together and sprinkle them over the pork ribs. Cover with the lid and cook on low for 6-8 hours.
