Ingredients
2-3Tbspof Vegetable Oil
2cupsof Long Grain Rice
2tspof Chili Powder
2tspof Chicken Bouillon
2tspof Onion Powder
2tspof Garlic Powder
Salt and Pepper to your taste
1can8 ounces of Tomato Sauce
1/4of an OnionOptional
4cupsof Warm or Hot Water
Instructions
Heat a large pan over medium heat and add the vegetable oil and washed rice. Toast the rice for 5-6 minutes, stirring constantly. Be attentive to prevent burning; if the rice burns, you will need to start over.
After toasting the rice, add the chili powder, chicken bouillon, onion powder, and garlic powder. Toast for an additional 1-2 minutes to enhance the flavor. Then, stir in the tomato sauce and water. Bring the mixture to a boil. If you’re using the optional quarter of an onion, place it in the middle of the pan.
Reduce the heat to low, cover the pan with a lid or tightly with foil, and let it simmer for 20-25 minutes.
After the specified time, your rice should be fluffy and soft, ready to serve.
