Heavenly Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 Cup of Unsalted Butter
- 1 Cup of Brown Sugar
- ½ Cup of Granulated Sugar
- 2 Eggs
- 1 tsp of Vanilla Extract
- 1 ½ Cups of Cake Flour
- 1 ½ Cups of All-Purpose Flour
- 2 tsp of Cornstarch
- 1 tsp of Baking Soda
- ¾ tsp of Salt
- 2 Cups of Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
Instructions
- In the bowl of a mixer, cream together the unsalted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar for 3-4 minutes. Then, add in the eggs and vanilla extract. With the mixer on low speed, gradually add in the dry ingredients and mix until the batter is smooth. Finally, gently fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips.
- Use a scoop to portion out 3 tablespoons of cookie dough onto a sheet tray. Place the tray in the refrigerator and let the dough chill for 1 hour.
- Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Evenly space out the chilled cookie dough portions on the prepared baking sheet. You should be able to make around 18 cookies from this recipe.
- Place the baking sheet on the middle rack of the oven and bake for 12-13 minutes. The cookies should have a light golden color on the top and edges.
- Allow the cookies to rest on the sheet tray for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- These cookies are delightful when enjoyed warm, but they become even more delicious the next day!
Notes
Normally, I would suggest a substitution for the cake flour however, these would not taste the same without that ingredient. I highly suggest trying with cake flour.
