Honey Jalapeno Cornbread
Sweet and spicy warm cornbread serve with sweet honey butter. Pairs prefect with chili or soup!
Ingredients
- ½ Cup Melted Butter
- 2 Tbsp Honey
- 1 ¼ Cups Buttermilk
- 2 Eggs
- 2/3 Cup Sugar
- 1 Cup Yellow Cornmeal
- 1 Cup All-Purpose Flour
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- ¼ tsp Salt
- 1 Jalapeno Deseeded and Chopped
Honey Butter
- ½ Cup Soft Butter
- 2 Tbsp Honey
- Pinch of Salt
Instructions
- Pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a 9×9 baking dish.
- In a medium bowl mix all the of the liquids together. Add in the dry ingredients and mix just until it’s combined. Fold in the jalapenos.
- Pour into the greased 9×9 and bake for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
- In a small bowl, mix the soft butter, honey and a pinch of salt till smooth. Serve along side warm cornbread.
