Cake Donuts with a Strawberry Glaze

Cake donuts with a sweet strawberry glaze and rainbow sprinkles.

Ingredients

Donuts

  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 2 Eggs (1 whole egg and 1 egg yolk)
  • 3 Tbsp Melted Unsalted Butter
  • 1 Cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/3 Cup Sugar
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Kosher Salt
  • 1/2 Cup Whole Milk

Strawberry Glaze

  • 1 Cup Powder Sugar
  • 3 Strawberries or 3 Tablespoons of Strawberry Jam
  • 1-2 tsp Milk
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 tsp water

Instructions

  • Pre-Heat oven to 350 degrees

Donuts

  • Combined your wet ingredients in one bowl and your dry ingredients in another. Slowly add your dry ingredients to your wet ingredients.
  • Add dough to a pastry bag or zip lock bag and pipe into your donut molds. Molds can be found here https://amzn.to/3lQuuIE. Place the filled donut molds onto a baking sheet. Lightly tap the pan onto the counter to release any air bubbles.
  • Bake for 8-10 minutes.

Strawberry Glaze

  • Add strawberries (stems removed) to a blender with 1 tsp water. Blend until smooth. To a bowl combined confectioners' sugar, strawberries, and vanilla extract. If the mixture is to thick add 1 tsp of milk to thin add 1 tablespoon of confectioners' sugar.
  • Once the donuts come out of the oven, let them rest for 10 minutes before removing from the molds.
  • Dip donuts into the strawberry glaze then dip them into your rainbow sprinkles.
