Texas Smoked Salsa

Smoked salsa with fresh ingredients! This beats store bought salsa everyday!

Ingredients

  • 6 Roma Tomatoes Cut in Half
  • 1 Whole Onion Cut in Quarters
  • 3 Jalapenos
  • 1 Poblano Pepper
  • 1 Blub of Whole Garlic
  • 1/2 Lime Juice
  • 2 Tbsp Vegetable Oil
  • 1 tsp Oregano
  • 1 Tbsp Salt and Pepper Each
  • 1/2 Bunch Cilantro

Instructions

  • Turn smoker on to 300 degrees.
  • Add all your vegetables, besides the cilantro and lime, to a baking sheet.
  • Coat with vegetable oil, oregano,salt, and pepper.
  • Place in the smoker for 2 hours.Tossing everything at the 1-hour mark.
  • Once everything looks nice and roasted. Pull from smoker and let rest for five minutes.
  • De-Skin and pull stems from all your peppers. If you want a mild salsa de-seed them as well.
  • Place everything in a blender including the cilantro and lime juice. Blend to desired texture. Taste and adjust seasonings.
