Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Butter Room Temperature
  • 1 ¼ Cup Brown Sugar
  • ½ Cup Sugar
  • 2 Eggs + 1 Yolk Room Temperature
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 3 Cups AP Flour
  • 2 tsp Cornstarch
  • ½ tsp Baking Powder
  • ½ tsp Baking Soda
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • 2 Cups of Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • 1 Cup Milk Chocolate Chips

Method

  1. Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda, and cornstarch.
  3. In the bowl of a mixer, cream butter and sugars together for 3-5 minutes. You want the color to be a light pale brown. Add in vanilla and with the mixer on low, add in one egg at a time.
  4. Once eggs are mixed in, add dry ingredients 1/3 at a time. Mix till everything is combined. About 2 minutes.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips.
  6. Scoop out 3 tablespoon or 3 oz cookies onto a large baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Give them plenty of room to cook. I usually have to bake 4 rounds of cookies fitting 5 pre tray. This batch will make 18 large cookies.
  7. Bake for 12-13 minutes. Just until the tops are golden brown.
  8. Let them rest for 2 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
