This cinnamon roll cake is a delightful treat that combines the flavors of traditional cinnamon rolls with a fluffy cake. Start by preheating your oven to 350°F and greasing a 9x13-inch baking pan. Mix together the dry ingredients in a large bowl, create a well, and add the wet ingredients, including whisked eggs and milk. Pour the batter into the prepared pan. For the filling, combine melted butter, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and salt, then dollop it onto the batter and swirl with a knife. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. After cooling for 10 minutes, drizzle a simple glaze over the top and enjoy with a glass of milk or coffee.

Ingredients
  

Cake:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Cinnamon Roll Filling:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Glaze:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 3-4 tablespoons milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a 9x13-inch pan with non-stick cooking spray.
  • In a large bowl, combine all the dry ingredients for the cake mixture and mix until combined. Create a well in the center.
  • Whisk the eggs, then add them to the well, followed by the remaining wet ingredients for the cake. Stir until combined, then pour the batter into the greased 9x13 pan.
  • In a small bowl, mix all the ingredients for the cinnamon roll filling.
  • Dollop the cinnamon roll filling across the top of the cake. Use a butter knife to swirl or marble the filling into the cake.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 35 to 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Once the cake is done, let it cool for about 10 minutes.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the ingredients for the glaze.
  • Pour the glaze over the warm cake and serve with a glass of milk or a cup of coffee.
